Ian W Landles BEM
President
Ian’s great-grandfather, Andrew Landles, played in the first-ever game against Langholm in February 1874 and his great- uncle, “Chap” Landles, was Hawick RFC President in seasons 1961-62 and 1962-63. He has written various songs and poems celebrating Hawick RFC, notably “Fifteen Robbie Dyes” and “The Man That Oo Ca’ Bill”. He is a Trustee of the Bill McLaren Foundation. When Neil asked him to be his Vice President he was delighted to accept not least, as a historian, because, all being well, his Presidential term will coincide with the 150th anniversary of what for him will always be the greatest Rugby Club in the world.
