Club Ticket Access – Important Update
Effective from April 2026
Subject: Important update on club ticket access to international tickets.
The SRU are making some changes to how clubs purchase tickets for international matches from April 2026.
As part of a wider review of all ticket sales for Scottish Rugby events, we’ve taken the opportunity to simplify the current club ticket process and ensure access is aligned with clubs and organisations that are actively supporting the growth and development of the game.
What this means for your club:
The purchasing process will be simpler
o No reservation forms, allocations, or invoicing
o Eligible members will buy tickets directly via a purchase link and secure access code
- Tickets will be issued digitally by Scottish Rugby
o All tickets will be delivered through the official ticketing app direct to the ticket buyer (no need for clubs to distribute tickets to ticket buyers)
o Payment will be taken at the point of purchase
- There will be anti- tout measures applied across all Scottish Rugby tickets going forward
o Limits on ticket quantities per match
o Restricted ticket transfers
- Action taken where tickets are resold or misused
Tickets will be available to buy during an exclusive club onsale from 7th May 2026 at 10am to 17th May 2026 and will be available via purchase link and secure access code. This is a change from how tickets have been purchased in the past and is designed to reduce administration for clubs and volunteers.

Magic Code – please contact via treasurer@hawickrfc.co.uk Plus this video “How to buy Club Tickets”. Hover on this which will show you how to activate the video.
If you have recently applied for tickets, through the club, and have been familiar with e-tickets you should be able to go ahead with the new system.
If you are ‘a first-time purchaser’ you should create a Scottish Rugby ticketing account through the SRU website. You will need an email address and mobile phone number which will have to be forwarded on to me. I will then add you to Hawick RFC’s SRU Club Ticket Portal, however if you have previously purchased tickets independently and you are applying through the club now you will need to send me your email address and mobile number to update the club’s Portal.
Can I draw attention to the following points:
Can tickets be transferred ?‘
Yes, tickets can be transferred but this will be restricted.
- At least one ticket per order must remain non‑transferablein the purchaser’s app
- Transfers outside the permitted process are not allowed
Can club tickets be resold?
No. Club tickets must not be:
- Resold
- Sold via secondary ticketing sites
- Used for commercial or non‑genuine purposes
What happens if tickets are resold?
Where there is evidence of ticket resale, Scottish Rugby may:
- Cancel tickets (without refund)
- Remove future access to club ticket purchasing
- Apply wider sanctions under ticketing terms and conditions
If you have any trouble with this or need more information, please get back to me directly, or via treasurer@hawickrfc.co.uk by Friday 15th May.
