Saturday was the final game for the Greens for Ben Evans, Dan Gamble and Rudi Brown the three Academy boys who were allocated to Hawick. They contributed hugely to the cause during their spell with the Club, integrated well with the regular players who accepted them with open arms. HRFC also welcomed their families who came to support their sons and this could not have been easy for a Gala man to take the time to put pen to paper and say “Rudi has had an absolute ball being part of the Hawick family, the way the boys in the team, the coaches and the Club took him under their wing was breath-taking. He has absolutely loved the experience and has learned so much in such a short period of time. The Club has treated his family brilliantly and has made us completely welcome at all times. I can honestly say that Rudi and his family will be back and we would love to see Rudi in green again. We will certainly be supporting Hawick from now on. Thank you all at Hawick Rugby Club” We will watch with interest how the careers of the three boys develop in years to come.
