As a club we are immensely proud and honoured to have three “born and bred Teries” starting for Scotland this weekend.
Stuart Hogg, Darcy Graham, and Rory Sutherland have all come through our impressive youth system in the town.
This is the first time three Hawick boys have started an international since Tony Stranger, Greg Oliver and Derek Turnbull started a World Cup match, way back in 1991.
Last weekend Lisa Thomson and Lana Skeldon represented Scotland and played a prominent role in a very impressive 13-13 draw with France; one of the top sides in the world. Unfortunately their game this weekend has been postponed, due to a positive coronavirus test, in the Scotland camp.
What an achievement to have five players chosen for the senior national teams at the same time! An incredible success story for the town.
Good luck this Saturday, the whole club is behind you.
